Things finally seemed to have settled down here at DPPLR, after being in the midst of a media hype surrounding Labrad; a weekly microformat we created for the Radboud university.

Controversy arrose when the university board chose to cancel the series, based on accusations of Labrad being sexist, racist and disgusting.

With increasing amazement we’ve watched our videos being posted on virtually every Dutch news outlet and shown on national TV.

And while all the exposure certainly did not hurt Labrad’s view count (350k in one day and counting), the feeling that remains is disappointment about Labrad being discontinued.

We’ve certainly never set out to offend anyone, and continue to be proud of Labrad. We still have six unaired episodes in our vault, set to be released when the world is ready, or during the zombie apocalypse. Whichever comes first.
