DPPLR created a shortform IPTV-format intended for teenagers.
Radboud University is known for it’s groundbreaking research in various academic disciplines. They came to us seeking for help translating their findings to a younger audience; specifically high-school students on the verge of selecting a University.
We devised LABRAD: a one-minute format which aims to introduce future scholars to subject matters explored by the Radboud University. We asked the amazing Ancilla Tilia to star as a slightly seductive, slightly cranky professor.. a role which suited her perfectly. LABRAD provides comedic answers to scientific questions such as: “Can saliva serve as a future alternative to antibiotics?”, “Does winning the lottery make you happy?” and “How do men respond to the presence of an attractive woman?”.
The three pilot episodes of LABRAD became the centre of national controversy in October 2010, recording over a half million views in one day.
